Patrol Division



The Cleburne Patrol Division is commanded by Deputy Chief Kent Glover.  The Division is made up of 44 uniformed officers. 
The Division also includes a four member  traffic unit, and three School Resource Officers (SROs).

Patrol officers are the first to respond and arrive at any emergency situation.  They respond to over 40,000 calls for service a year.  They are the most visible members of the police department.  They have contact with the public on a daily basis.

They are responsible for:
·        
Responding to all calls for service,
·         Maintaining law and order in the community,
·         Enforcing all laws,
·         Detecting and preventing crime,
·         Arresting and citing violators.
·         Conducting preliminary investigations of crimes against persons and/or property
·         Execute search and arrest warrants
·         Traffic accident investigation / traffic enforcement
·        
Testifying in court


Police Officers assigned to patrol duty
work a 10 hour / 4   day   work week. 
Police service is provided 24 hours a
day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year.

The Patrol Division is considered the
“backbone” of  the  police department.
They  provide  the first line of defense
against    crime   in    our   community.

                 ABOUT DEPUTY CHIEF GLOVER

Deputy Chief Kent Glover is a native of Grand Prairie, TX.  He is a former U.S. Marine.  He earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.   He joined the Cleburne Police Department in 1984.  He was promoted to Sergeant in 1996 assigned to duty as a patrol supervisor.  He was promoted to Deputy Chief in 2002 and took over command of the Patrol Division.  He is responsible for staffing, scheduling, planning, training, budgeting, and internal affairs investigations.
